Ballot Information: Ballot information will be available at a later date.
Absentee Ballots: Absentee ballots will be available October 7th to October 31st for the November 5, 2024, election. You can request a ballot now in one of the following ways:
• Complete an online request form here(PDF). Your ballots will be mailed to you once they become available.
• Call 207-443-4609 and request ballots be sent to your mailing address.
• Make an appointment with the Town Clerk, Barbara Boyce, once absentee ballots are available, and either vote in person or take your ballots home and return once voted.
Absentee Ballot Drop Box: The Absentee Ballot Drop Box will be available starting the week of October 7, 2024. This is a secure 24/7 opportunity to submit your ballots and requires no postage.

Voter Registration
Voter Registration is administered by the Registrar for the Town of Arrowsic .
A voter must meet the following qualifications to vote in a municipality:
- Must be a U.S. citizen;
- Must be at least 18 years of age;
- Must have established and must maintain a voting residence in that municipality; and
- Must be enrolled in a party to vote at a caucus, convention, or primary election.
New Maine voters must fill out a Maine Voter Registration Application and provide an applicable I.D. number as follows:
- Your Maine driver’s license/Maine State I.D.; or
- The last 4 digits of your Social Security number (ONLY if you do not have a Maine driver’s license/I.D.)
If you wish to change your existing Voter Registration, such as a change of address, please provide proof of new residence or if you have recently moved within the State, you can update your license and voter registration at the BMV.

Absentee Ballots
An absentee voter is any registered voter who requests an absentee ballot prior to Election Day. The voter does not need to have a specific reason for voting by absentee ballot.
Absentee ballots are available approximately 30 days prior to Election Day.

- Vote from the comfort of your home.
- Take the time to educate yourself prior to voting.
There are 5 ways to request an absentee ballot:
- In person
- Telephone Request: Registered voters may call the Town Clerk at 443-4609 during office hours to request an absentee ballot for themselves only. The Town Clerk will fill out an application for the voter and a ballot will be mailed directly to the voter.
- Immediate Family: Requests for an absentee ballot of an immediate family member must be made with the clerk, as these requests need to be made in writing on the application provided.
- Electronically: Registered voters may request an absentee ballot electronically through the Secretary of State’s absentee ballot web page. The Town Clerk processes the requests and mails the ballot to the voter.
- 3rd Party: Registered voters may fill out and sign an application to request a 3rd party to deliver their ballot to them. The Town Clerk will give the ballot to the 3rd person named on the application and that person will deliver the ballot to the voter. In this case, when the voter votes, the absentee ballot envelope must be signed by the voter and signed by two witnesses, or one “special” witness (i.e., a notary public, municipal clerk, or clerk of courts).
Ongoing Absentee Voter Status
Voters who will be at least 65 years of age by the next election or who self-identify as having a disability may apply for ongoing absentee voter status: PDF | Word. A voter who qualifies will automatically receive an absentee ballot for any election in which the voter is eligible to vote and need not submit a request for each election. Voters must return the completed application to the Town Clerk, Barbara Boyce.
Accessible absentee ballots
Accessible absentee ballots are available to voters with disabilities. It is intended for voters with print disabilities, which may include vision impairment or blindness, physical dexterity limitations, learning disabilities or cognitive impairment, all of which prevent the individual from independently marking a paper ballot.
