Voter Registration Requirements

Voter Registration is administered by the Registrar for the Town of Arrowsic, Vicky Stoneman.

Voter Registration Qualifications:

A voter must meet the following qualifications to vote in Arrowsic:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen
  2. Must have established a fixed principal home and must maintain a voting residence in Arrowsic, and
  3. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Other information to know about qualifications:

You can pre-register to vote at age 16, but won’t be able to vote until you turn age 18, although you can vote in a primary election at age 17 if you will be 18 by the general election.

In order to vote at a caucus, convention, or primary election, you must be enrolled in a party.

Voter Registration Documentation:

To vote in Arrowsic, residents must fill out a Maine Voter Registration Application and provide acceptable proof of identification and of current residence in Arrowsic. 

Proof of both Identification and Current Residence

  1. Your valid Maine driver’s license/Maine State I.D. with current Arrowsic address

Proof of Identification

  1. Your valid Maine driver’s license with old address or a valid driver’s license or state ID card from any other US state
  1. Government document/credential with photo ID (i.e. valid U.S. Passport, military ID, ID card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe) or Government ID document/credential without photo (i.e. certified birth certificate or signed Social Security card)
  2. The last 4 digits of your Social Security number
  3. Student photo ID from a state-approved public or private school or institute of higher education in Maine

Proof of Current Residence

  1. An official document that shows name and current address of voter (i.e. eligibility for public benefits, utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, vehicle registration)

If you do not have any of these, contact Vicky to discuss other possible forms of ID.

To Register to Vote:

There are several different ways to register.  You can choose any one of the following ways:

  1. Contact Vicky Stoneman at Vicky.stoneman@arrowsic.org or call and leave a message for her at Town Hall (207/443-4609) to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet and fill out a registration application.  An application card can be mailed, if necessary.
  2. Click on this link to register to vote online.  Include your phone number so Vicky can contact you in case you need to provide any further documentation. You can also register UOCAVA (Uniformed Service or Overseas voter) with the state of Maine on this site.
  3. Register through any Motor Vehicle Office (BMV) branch (when getting or updating your Maine driver’s license).
  4. Download and print a Maine voter registration application using one of the links below. Please note that both sides of the card will print on one page.  You can then drop it off in the Town Hall mailbox or mail it to Town Hall. Include your phone number so Vicky can contact you in case you need to provide any further documentation.

  1. Register at most federal and state social service agencies, or
  2. Participate in a voter registration drive.

If you are a resident of Arrowsic and you wish to change your existing Voter Registration, such as a change of address, name or party affiliation, or if you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact Vicky Stoneman at vicky.stoneman@arrowsic.org. You will need to provide proof of your new residence or name.
