(207-442-7104; rcrogersandsons@gmail.com)Small wooden furniture- (coffee table, kitchen chairs, dressers etc) $25Appliances- dishwasher/microwave/ portable heater- $25-$45 based on size Television/monitors- $25 Mattress/furniture with springs – $50 landfill disposal fee plus pickup.Couches/sofas $100 -$200For other items, contact Rogers for pricing If furniture is in good condition, The Restore (Habitat for Humanity) may be happy to take it. Call first at (207) 504-9340. The Swap Barn and the Recycling Shed do not accept any of the items listed above. Slow Down and Stay Alert for Arrowsic Wildlife Autumn is here and animals are shifting their foraging habits and getting ready for winter. This change in behavior often brings Arrowsic’s wildlife in close proximity to roads. Perhaps you, too, have noticed a flock of turkey pecking away along the shoulder, or witnessed a deer burst out of the brush and dash across the road? To keep you and the island’s animal life safe, the Conservation Commission once again kindly asks you to slow down and look out for animals that are just trying to get to the other side. Thank you! A Zentangle Fundraiser for the Arrowsic Education Scholarship Committee! Zentangle is a method of mindful drawing. Irene Burgess, a certified Zentangle teacher, will provide the basics of the method in a stress-reducing atmosphere designed to make you appreciate your own creativity. All supplies will be provided. October 14th , 6-8:30pm at the Town Hall. $35.00 per participant. Sign up now because space is limited.
