The Conservation Commission will meet on Tuesday September 16 at the town hall and virtually to discuss the following: a talk on winter moths, the BioBlitz, possible fall field trip, wrap-up of water testing and cleanup season, pesticides survey, and anything else that might be brought before the commission. Our volunteer Fire Department needs your help. There are a lot of things to do that would support the team, for example delivering food on extended calls. Additional volunteers would be helpful for a variety of tasks like directing traffic or assisting Bath Ambulance respond to EMS calls. We will provide the training! Town Fire Permits

Per Dale Carleton, Arrowsic Fire Chief, there won’t be any burn permits issued until further notice.

Public Notice

There will be two Select Board people at town hall on Thursday, September 18 at 10 to attend the town hall staff meeting.

Free Entrance at Maine State Parks for Library Card Holders on September 20

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. To mark the occasion,
the Maine State Library and Maine State Parks are partnering to offer a
special day of free admission to participating state parks.

On Saturday, September 20, simply show your Maine library card at the
entrance of any participating Maine state park and enjoy a day outdoors
at no cost.

Don’t have a library card yet? Stop by the Patten Free Library in Bath
to sign up — it’s free for Arrowsic residents, and it opens the door to
countless opportunities, from books and digital resources to programs
and events.

Free admission does not apply to the following parks: Acadia National
Park, Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Baxter State Park, Maine Wildlife
Park, Peacock Beach, Scarborough Beach, Swan Island, Penobscot River
Corridor, and the Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect.
